As CEO, UK, you own bunq's growth in the United Kingdom end to end: you decide who we win, how we win them, and what we build the UK business on. You'll answer to the numbers, and to the user.</p><p style="min-height: 1.7em;"></p><p><strong>Take Ownership</strong></p><ul><li><p>Position bunq as the go-to financial partner for the user in the UK by knowing their lifestyle inside out: how she spends, saves, and runs her money, and where bunq fits in.</p></li><li><p>Define and execute the local commercial strategy, delivering on budget, user, and revenue targets.</p></li><li><p>Build the go-to-market machine: acquisition, commercial, and operational engines, with the KPIs that prove it’s working.</p></li><li><p>Own the UK P&L and commit to it.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height: 1.7em;"></p><p><strong>Secure and operate under the UK license</strong></p><ul><li><p>Lead bunq’s path to full UK banking authorization, including the application and ongoing dialogue with the PRA and FCA.</p></li><li><p>Build and maintain trusted relationships with UK regulators, and act as the senior accountable face of bunq in the UK.</p></li><li><p>Work with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Finance to meet capital, governance, safeguarding, and reporting requirements, and to fill the senior roles the regulator expects (e.g., SMF holders).</p></li><li><p>Translate regulatory milestones into commercial planning, so go-to-market timing, product scope, and growth targets match what the license allows at each stage.</p></li><li><p>Make sure the UK business is built to stay compliant as it scales, not only to get authorized.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height: 1.7em;"></p><p><strong>Build and scale the UK organization</strong></p><ul><li><p>Identify the gaps between where we are and where we need to be, and own the hiring plan.</p></li><li><p>Hire, lead, and develop a high-performing UK team across commercial, operations, and risk and compliance.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height: 1.7em;"></p><p><strong>Partner across the business and market</strong></p><ul><li><p>Manage a broad set of stakeholders across Marketing, Product, and external partners.</p></li><li><p>Land partnerships that drive user growth and engagement.</p></li></ul> <br> <ul><li><p>Proven track record running a P&L in financial services, fintech, or a consumer subscription business, ideally in the UK.</p></li><li><p>Direct experience with UK financial regulation, ideally a banking or EMI authorization, or senior accountability under the SM&CR regime.</p></li><li><p>Credible relationships with, or strong working knowledge of, the PRA, FCA, and the wider UK fintech ecosystem.</p></li><li><p>Experience building go-to-market engines from scratch or at scale, with clear KPIs.</p></li><li><p>Deep consumer insight and the ability to turn it into product and marketing priorities.</p></li><li><p>A builder’s mindset: you hire well, move fast, and stay accountable for the numbers.</p></li><li><p>Comfortable working across cultures and time zones with a fast-moving, product-driven team.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height: 1.7em;"><
