Forward Deployed Engineer

<h3>About the Role</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em">Join an early-stage B2B SaaS team building AI-powered software for certification, inspection, and compliance workflows. You will work directly with customers to understand how operations happen in practice, then turn those insights into production-ready systems.</p><h3>What You'll Do</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Embed with customer operations teams to learn their certification, inspection, and compliance workflows.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Run customer calls, write specifications, and build end-to-end software across frontend, backend, data, and model layers.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Take ownership of product areas and ship working software quickly, refining it through direct user feedback.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Assess customer requests and determine which needs can support broadly useful product capabilities.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Analyze customer documents and outputs to develop AI-powered workflows for scheduling, technical review, conformity assessment, field inspection, and document intelligence.</p></li></ul><h3>What We're Looking For</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Three to six years of software or product engineering experience, with a track record of shipping production systems.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Full-stack development skills, including Python, TypeScript, React, Node.js, SQL, and experience with AI/ML, LLMs, document intelligence, or cloud infrastructure.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience building products or systems from the ground up, ideally in an early-stage startup or founding engineering environment.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Ability to work directly with customers, communicate clearly, and translate complex operational needs into robust software.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">A strong academic background and solid engineering fundamentals.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience in forward-deployed engineering or customer-facing product engineering is beneficial.</p></li></ul><h3>Compensation &amp; Benefits</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em">Salary range: GBP 100,000 to GBP 160,000 annually.
