Forward Deployed Engineer

<h3>About the Role</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em">Join an early-stage B2B SaaS team building AI-powered software for certification, inspection, and compliance workflows. You will work directly with customers to understand how their operations run and turn real-world needs into reliable production systems.</p><h3>What You'll Do</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Embed with customer operations teams to learn how certification, inspection, and compliance work in practice.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Lead customer calls, write specifications, and build end-to-end software across the frontend, backend, data model, and AI layer.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Own product areas from the start, collaborating closely with the founding team.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Ship production software quickly and improve it through direct observation and user feedback.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Assess customer requests and prioritize solutions that can serve broader needs.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Review customer documents, calls, and real-world outputs to develop AI workflows for scheduling, technical review, conformity assessment, field inspection, and document intelligence.</p></li></ul><h3>What We're Looking For</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Three to six years of experience in software engineering or product engineering.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Full-stack development experience, including Python, TypeScript, React, Node.js, SQL, and cloud infrastructure.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience building and shipping products or systems from the ground up, ideally in an early-stage startup environment.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Familiarity with AI/ML, large language models, or document intelligence.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with customers.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">A strong academic or technical foundation. Experience in forward-deployed engineering is a plus.</p></li></ul><h3>Compensation &amp; Benefits</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em">Salary: £100,000 to £160,000 annually.
