Forward Deployed Engineer

<h3>About the Role</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em">Join a team building AI-enabled SaaS tools for certification, inspection, and compliance workflows. You will work directly with customer teams to understand operational needs and turn them into production software.</p><h3>What You'll Do</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Embed with customer operations teams to understand how certification, inspection, and compliance work in practice.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Lead customer conversations, write specifications, and build end-to-end systems across the frontend, backend, data model, and AI layer.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Own product areas and ship software quickly, iterating based on direct feedback from users.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Use sound judgment to identify which customer needs can serve broader workflows and which are specific to one customer.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Review customer documents and outputs to develop AI-powered workflows for scheduling, technical review, conformity assessment, field inspection, and document intelligence.</p></li></ul><h3>What We're Looking For</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Three to six years of experience in software or product engineering, including building and shipping production systems.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Full-stack capability, including Python backend development, TypeScript and React frontend development, data modeling, and AI or model-layer integration.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience integrating AI systems into production products and working with tools such as SQL and cloud infrastructure.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience building products or systems from the ground up, ideally in an early-stage or founding engineering environment.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Ability to work directly with customers, understand real-world operations, and translate complex workflows into reliable software.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Strong technical fundamentals and a personable, collaborative approach.</p></li></ul><h3>Compensation &amp; Benefits</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em">Base salary: £100,000 to £160,000 annually.
