Forward Deployed Engineer

<h3>About the Role</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em">Join a B2B SaaS team building software for certification, inspection, and compliance workflows. You will work directly with customers to understand how their operations function and turn those needs into production-ready products, including AI-powered tools.</p><h3>What You'll Do</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Embed with customer teams to learn how certification, inspection, and compliance work in practice.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Lead customer calls, write specifications, and build end-to-end systems across frontend, backend, data models, and AI capabilities.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Own product areas and deliver production software quickly, improving it based on direct user feedback.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Use judgment to distinguish customer requests that apply broadly from those that are specific to one workflow.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Review customer documents, calls, and outputs to develop AI-powered workflows for scheduling, technical review, conformity assessment, field inspection, and document intelligence.</p></li></ul><h3>What We're Looking For</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Three to six years of software or product engineering experience, with a track record of shipping systems used by customers.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Full-stack development skills, including Python, TypeScript, React, Node.js, SQL, and cloud infrastructure.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience building products or systems from the ground up, ideally in an early-stage startup or founding engineering environment.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Familiarity with AI/ML, large language models, or document intelligence is valuable.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with customers and understand operational workflows.</p></li></ul><h3>Compensation &amp; Benefits</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em">Base salary: £100,000 to £160,000 annually.
