Forward Deployed Engineer

<h3>About the Role</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em">Join a B2B SaaS team building software for certification, inspection, and compliance workflows. You will work directly with customers to understand how their operations run and turn real-world challenges into production-ready software and AI-powered tools.</p><h3>What You'll Do</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Embed with customer operations teams to understand how certification, inspection, and compliance work in practice.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Lead customer conversations, write specifications, and build end-to-end solutions across the frontend, backend, data model, and AI layer.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Own product areas from discovery through production, iterating quickly based on direct user feedback.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Use judgment to identify which customer needs are broadly useful and which are specific to one workflow.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Analyze customer documents, calls, and outputs to develop workflows for scheduling, technical review, conformity assessment, field inspection, and document intelligence.</p></li></ul><h3>What We're Looking For</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Three to six years of software or product engineering experience, with a track record of shipping production systems.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Full-stack development skills, including Python, TypeScript, React, Node.js, SQL, and experience with AI/ML, LLMs, document intelligence, or cloud infrastructure.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience building products or systems from the ground up, ideally in an early-stage or founding engineering role.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Comfort working directly with customers, learning operational needs, and communicating clearly.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">A strong academic or technical foundation and experience outside professional services or consulting.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Forward-deployed engineering experience is a plus.</p></li></ul><h3>Compensation &amp; Benefits</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em">Base salary: £100,000 to £160,000 annually.
