IT Support & Security Analyst

<p style="min-height:1.5em">📍 Sheffield and Lincoln Hybrid - 3 days per week in office (2 of which will be one office with the 3rd day in the other office), 2 working remotely.</p><div style="min-height:1.2em;margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px"> </div><div style="min-height:1.2em;margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px"> </div><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>The Opportunity:</strong></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">We are looking for an IT Support &amp; Security Analyst to act as the primary technical point of contact across our Sheffield and Lincoln offices, reporting to the IT and Security Manager. You will split your time between front-line helpdesk operations and proactive security administration in a fast-paced, adaptable environment.</p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Helpdesk &amp; On-Site Support</strong>: Serve as the go-to contact for hardware (macOS, Windows, ChromeOS), connectivity, and tickets logged via Freshservice across Sheffield and Lincoln.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Identity &amp; Cloud Administration</strong>: Manage full user lifecycles, access permissions, policies, and Google Workspace configurations.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Device &amp; Patch Management</strong>: Enrol, monitor, and secure endpoints using Google MDM, Hexnode, and Intune, maintaining automated patch schedules via Action1.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Security &amp; Incident Operations</strong>: Monitor, investigate, and remediate alerts across SentinelOne EDR/MDR, GCP, and email security tools, while proactively mitigating emerging threats.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Networking, Compliance &amp; AI</strong>: Support Cisco Meraki networking and VPNs, maintain SOPs and audit evidence for vendor and security assessments, and assist with rollouts of internal AI productivity tools.</p></li></ul><div style="min-height:1.2em;margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px"> </div><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>What we need from you:</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Bring experience in IT support, systems engineering, or security operations, backed by strong knowledge of core networking concepts.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Have hands-on administration experience with macOS, Windows, or ChromeOS, alongside MDM tools like Hexnode, Intune, or Google MDM.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Possess practical experience maintaining compliance evidence in an ISMS (such as Vanta, Drata, or Sprinto) aligned with Cyber Essentials and ISO 27001.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Are a proactive troubleshooter who digs into both hardware issues and suspicious logs, knowing precisely when to resolve or escalate.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Excel at communication - able to explain security plainly to non-technical colleagues while collaborating effectively with senior engineers.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>It would also be great if you have:</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience with security and network tooling, specifically alert triage in EDR/MDR platforms (e.g., SentinelOne), Cisco Meraki, and OpenVPN.<
