We navigate the complexities of contracts, regulations, and risk management to ensure the company operates smoothly and seizes opportunities with confidence.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">We handle all legal matters: Contracts, Corporate, Labor, Data protection, IP etc… enabling other teams to innovate with confidence.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">Leveraging our expertise and external partners, we collaborate with all functions to protect Joko’s interests efficiently and proactively.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h2>🚀 What you will do</h2><p style="min-height:1.5em">As Legal Counsel, Commercial & IP, you will work hand in hand with our business teams to negotiate the partnerships that drive Joko's growth, and you will own our contracts, IP, commercial disputes and insurance. You will report directly to the Head of Legal (<a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/maya-steite-masri/">Maya</a>).</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h3>🛡️ IP and technology</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Define the legal framework for Juno, our AI shopping assistant: our rights to merchant content and catalogue data, the use of third-party brands and logos in the app and our marketing, and the ownership of AI-generated content.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Protect the Joko brands across our markets with our IP counsel, from trademarks, domain names, oppositions and renewals to action against third parties that infringe our rights.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Work with Product and Marketing to secure new features and brands before they launch.</p></li></ul><h3>🤝 Deals and commercial relationships</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Sit alongside the business teams in their negotiations with merchants and brands: partnership agreements, data-sharing contracts, CPG and B2B deals, and the contracts for our new business lines.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Structure our merchant and brand relationships so they hold up under French and EU rules on restrictive commercial practices, including significant imbalance and the abrupt termination of established commercial relationships.</p></li><li><p sty
