Robotics Engineering Intern

<p>We are looking for a <strong>Robotics Engineering Intern</strong> to get robots to build control cabinets they have never seen before. You will work with our robotics engineers and see your code run on real robots in our production.</p><p>Our robots run on our own factory operating system and adapt to each new cabinet using digital twins and 3D perception. Current projects include DIN rail assembly and wiring.</p><p><strong>Duration:</strong> 6 months; <strong>Start:</strong> flexible</p><h2>Tasks</h2><ul><li><p><strong>Build robot applications</strong> that take over real production steps, such as <strong>DIN rail assembly</strong> and <strong>wiring</strong>.</p></li><li><p><strong>Develop robot skills</strong> to pick, place and mount components and handle flexible wires.</p></li><li><p><strong>Implement 3D perception</strong>, so robots find components, terminals and wires on their own.</p></li><li><p><strong>Generate robot jobs from our digital twin</strong> for every new cabinet automatically.</p></li><li><p><strong>Test and improve our robot applications</strong> on our cobots, together with our robotics engineers and electricians.</p></li></ul><h2>Requirements</h2><ul><li><p>You are studying <strong>robotics, mechatronics, computer science</strong> or something similar at a top university with strong grades.</p></li><li><p><strong>First hands-on experience with robot arms</strong>, ideally with cobots and ROS.</p></li><li><p>Interest in <strong>manipulation, motion planning and 3D perception</strong>.</p></li><li><p><strong>Get things done mentality</strong>: prioritising results over process.</p></li><li><p><strong>Humble, low ego</strong>, not afraid to get your hands dirty.</p></li><li><p>You <strong>build fast and test on real hardware</strong>, iterating constantly.</p></li><li><p>Fluent in English, German is a plus.</p></li></ul><h2>Benefits</h2><ul><li><p><strong>Scaling from 0 to 1</strong>: you shape our robotics technology, from first prototypes to solutions running in our production.</p></li><li><p>Work as a full team member of an interdisciplinary <strong>team of top performers</strong> that will both support and challenge your growth.</p></li><li><p><strong>Lunch allowance</strong>, a <strong>subsidized sports membership</strong> and modern tech.</p></li><li><p>A <strong>new office in</strong> <strong>Garching</strong>, right on top of our own production floor.</p></li></ul><p>Vetaion is building a fully automated production facility for control cabinets in Munich.
