Senior AI Deployment Engineer (m/f/d)

Join our newly established AI UNIT within E.ON Drive Infrastructure (EDRI), a special unit built and run like a startup: trust instead of control, freedom instead of process, speed instead of committees. Working embedded with our business functions and regional teams across Europe, you will identify high-impact opportunities, build practical AI solutions that go live in days, not months, and drive measurable business value at scale. You report to our Head of AI Operations.<br> <br><strong>Your Responsibilities</strong></span><ul><li style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Identify and prioritize AI use cases, working embedded with business functions and regional teams</li><li style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Design, build, and deploy AI solutions, automations, and integrations in short sprints of under 10 person-days</li><li style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Develop production-ready AI systems, including evals, monitoring, security, and access control</li><li style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Integrate modern AI technologies and agentic systems into existing business processes</li><li style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Drive AI adoption through training and enablement</li><li style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Measure solution usage, user adoption, and business impact</li><li style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Create reusable templates, playbooks, and best practices to accelerate scaling</li><li style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Hand over solutions that need to scale to our Full-Stack and AI/ML Engineers</li><li style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Evaluate emerging AI models, AI tooling, and agentic systems and bring valuable innovations into the business</li><li style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Support Junior AI Deployment Engineers and share your knowledge – this is a senior individual contributor role</li></ul></p><br><strong>Your profile</strong><p><strong><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14px;">Your profile</span></strong><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14px;"> <strong>Must have</strong> </span><ul style="font-family:initial;"><li style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14px;">Proven experience delivering AI or automation solutions that are actively used in production </li><li style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14px;">Production experience with Generative AI, including prompting, RAG, tool integration, agents, and evals<strong> </strong></li><li style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14px;">Strong programming skills in Python and/or TypeScript<strong> </strong></li><li style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14px;">Experience working with APIs, integrations, and enterprise business systems </li><li style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14px;">Ability to quickly translate business challenges into practical, working solutions </li><li style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14px;">Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences </li>
