Senior Frontend Software Engineer

<p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Role</strong></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">We are looking for a senior software engineer to own the creation, design, and maintenance of web applications at our company. The current applications are written in Typescript using React as a framework, served through Next.js, and using React Query. You will work in an environment that is fast paced, has little technical debt, and utilizes the latest technologies.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Own the technical vision and architecture for our web applications.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Lead end-to-end development of new user-facing features.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Break fuzzy ideas into clear specs, edge cases, phased plans.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Build intuitive and responsive UIs from Figma mocks.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Optimize application performance, focusing on Core Web Vitals.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Evolve React/Next.js structure: routing, state, and code‑split rules</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Define React Query caching, retries, and optimistic updates.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Build a cross‑platform component library with Storybook.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Iteratively work with design and product leadership to create a delightful experience.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Represent engineering in roadmap; balance value, effort, and risk.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Rapid‑prototype UI/UX to de‑risk big bets with design.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">5+ years of experience as a software engineer</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">3+ years of experience building and shipping web applications with React and Next.js.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Strong knowledge of TypeScript, React, and React Native.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience creating websites from Figma mocks.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Solid understanding of UI/UX design principles.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">A keen eye for detail, particularly in ensuring UI elements' visual quality and interactivity.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience with ‘polishing’ UI in collaboration with a designer.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Detox, etc.).</p></li></ul><p>Find more <a href="https://www.arbeitnow.com/english-speaking-jobs">English Speaking Jobs in Germany</a> on Arbeitnow</a>
