Software Engineer – Embedded Security

<p>You want to help build the Western resilience and protect people and critical infrastructure. At CDDS, you’ll help secure the software behind our next-generation interceptor drones.</p><p>We’re looking for a hands-on software engineer who understands embedded security and US security requirements. You’ll complement our existing cloud security expertise by implementing security on our devices and supporting compliance documentation from a technical perspective.</p><h3>What you will do</h3><ul><li><p>Write and maintain software that secures our embedded Linux devices and ground systems.</p></li><li><p>Implement secure provisioning, authentication, key management, and software updates.</p></li><li><p>Translate security requirements into practical technical solutions alongside our security and compliance lead.</p></li><li><p>Identify vulnerabilities, implement fixes, and verify that security measures work on real hardware.</p></li><li><p>Support compliance work with technical documentation and evidence of implemented controls.</p></li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li><p>Strong software development skills in Python and/or C++.</p></li><li><p>Experience securing embedded Linux systems.</p></li><li><p>Practical knowledge of encryption, secure boot, access control, and device security.</p></li><li><p>Ability to balance security requirements with performance, reliability, and operational needs.</p></li><li><p>experience for hardware backed key storage, like TPMs</p></li></ul><h3>Nice to have</h3><ul><li><p>Experience supporting security compliance or assessments.</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with US cybersecurity requirements relevant to defense suppliers.</p></li><li><p>CCP certification.</p></li><li><p>Experience with NVIDIA Jetson or similar embedded platforms.</p></li><li><p>Experience with yocto</p></li><li><p>Experience with embedded penetration testing</p></li><li><p>NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC familiarity</p></li></ul><h3>Why CDDS</h3><ul><li><p>Direct impact on technology protecting people and critical infrastructure.</p></li><li><p>A hands-on engineering role with ownership and close collaboration across the team.</p></li><li><p>Real-world testing and deployment of your work.</p></li><li><p>Attractive compensation.</p></li></ul><p>Find <a href="https://www.arbeitnow.ch">Jobs in Switzerland</a> on Arbeitnow</a>
