Software Engineer - Marketing Automation (all genders)

<h2><strong>The role</strong></h2> <p>We are looking for a hands-on Senior Marketing Automation Engineer to join our Marketing Automation team. We build and run the services, integrations and internal tools that automate how HelloFresh does performance marketing. That means connecting to advertising platforms, moving and shaping marketing data, and giving our marketing teams the tools and reporting they need to move fast.</p> <p>You will own what you build, from design to production, and help shape how the team builds software.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Above all, we are looking for people who will <strong>make HelloFresh</strong> <strong>better.</strong> We believe there are many different ways of developing skills and we love diverse experiences! So even if you don’t “tick all the boxes” but think you’d thrive in this role, we would really like to learn more about you.</span></p> <h2><strong>What you’ll do</strong></h2> <ul> <li><strong>Build services and integrations</strong>: Design, build and run backend services and API integrations, including with advertising platforms such as Google Ads and Meta.</li> <li><strong>Automate marketing work</strong>: Build data workflows and automations that replace manual, repetitive work for our marketing teams.</li> <li><strong>Build internal tools and reporting</strong>: Create the tools our marketers use every day.</li> <li><strong>Keep things reliable</strong>: Test, monitor and troubleshoot our systems so they keep working as volumes and use cases grow.</li> <li><strong>Raise the bar</strong>: Shape architecture and engineering standards, review code, mentor other engineers, and work closely with Marketing and platform teams.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>What you’ll bring</strong></h2> <p>Technical skills</p> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience as a software engineer.</li> <li>Strong Python skills.</li> <li>Experience designing and integrating REST APIs, including OAuth2-based authentication.</li> <li>Solid SQL and experience with relational databases.</li> <li>Experience shipping software with containers, cloud infrastructure (ideally AWS) and CI/CD.</li> <li>You write tested, maintainable code and take ownership of it in production.</li> <li>You use AI tools in your daily work and are curious about where AI can help.</li> </ul> <p>Soft skills</p> <ul> <li>Ownership mindset: You take work from idea to production and stay accountable for it.</li> <li>Business sense: You turn business needs into simple, effective technical solutions.</li> <li>Communication: You explain technical topics clearly to non-technical stakeholders.</li> <li>Pragmatism: You know when to build something reusable and when a simple solution is enough.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>What we offer</strong></h2> <p>Elevate your lifestyle!
