<p>You don't just want to analyze a business – you want to steer it. As Team Lead Pricing & AI (m/f/d), you own pricing and the AI roadmap for our Books & Media Business Unit and brands. You decide how we price what we buy and what we sell – and turn better pricing, smarter systems, and data-driven decisions into sustainable growth and profit.</p> <h2>Your mission</h2> <p><strong>Pricing & business ownership</strong></p> <ul> <li>Own and shape the pricing strategy for buying and selling across momox, medimops, and momoxbooks</li> <li>Drive gross margin and operating margin – with long-term profit as your north star</li> <li>Balance pricing decisions with warehouse capacity and inventory quality</li> <li>Define our price positioning in the buying and selling markets</li> <li>Design, run and analyze pricing experiments</li> <li>Model how pricing algorithms affect marketing efficiency and long-term customer behavior</li> <li>Spot risks and opportunities early and steer them together with BU management – before others have to point them out</li> <li>Act as sparring partner for BU management on profit-oriented steering</li> </ul> <p><strong>Product ownership – Pricing & AI Engineering</strong></p> <ul> <li>Take on the Product Owner role for our Pricing Engineering and AI Engineering teams</li> <li>Build the roadmaps with Business, Data Science and Engineering – and prioritize by business impact</li> <li>Drive topics such as an AI-supported dynamic pricing engine, buying and selling price logic, experimentation frameworks, pricing reporting, and price steering by brand, category and attribute</li> <li>Identify the AI use cases with the highest value potential – e.g. sellability prediction, buy/no-buy decisions and market price definition</li> <li>Make sure AI projects deliver measurable results in revenue, profitability, efficiency or customer experience – not research for its own sake</li> <li>Translate between business and tech: you understand both the commercial impact and the technical feasibility</li> </ul> <p><strong>Leadership & collaboration</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead your Pricing team functionally and disciplinarily: goals, priorities, coaching, feedback, development and hiring</li> <li>Build a team culture of ownership, analytical thinking and high execution quality</li> <li>Work closely with Product, Engineering, AI/Data Science, Marketing, Logistics IT, Finance & Controlling and our Senior Management Team</li> <li>Bring different interests together and make decisions that serve momox as a whole</li> </ul> <h2>Your profile</h2> <ul> <li>Several years of experience in pricing, revenue management, analytics or e-commerce</li> <li>Very strong analytical skills – you're confident with data and KPI systems</li> <li>Hands-on experience with experiments and A/B testing</li> <li>You build and evaluate business cases and know what drives margin</li> <li>Experience working closely with engineering and data teams – ideally as Product Owner or in a similar role</li> <li>A solid understanding of machine learning and AI applications: you know what models can do – and where their limits are</li> <li>Leadership skills: first experience leading people, or a proven track record of guiding teams, projects or cross-functional initiatives</li> <li>Strong ownership and entrepreneurial thinking – you take initiative instead of waiting for direction</li> <li>You make decisions quickly, also under uncertainty, and prioritize with a clear focus on impact</li>
