Forward Deployed Engineer

<h3>About the Role</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em">Join a product engineering team building AI-powered software for certification, inspection, and compliance workflows. You will work closely with customers to understand real operational needs and turn them into reliable systems used in the field.</p><h3>What You'll Do</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Work directly with customer operations teams to understand how certification, inspection, and compliance processes run in practice.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Lead customer calls, write specifications, and build end-to-end solutions across frontend, backend, data models, and AI components.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Take ownership of product areas and collaborate directly with company leadership.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Ship software quickly, observe how users work with it, and refine it based on feedback.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Use sound judgment to distinguish broadly useful product needs from customer-specific requests.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Review customer documents and outputs to develop AI-enabled workflows for scheduling, technical review, conformity assessment, field inspection, and document intelligence.</p></li></ul><h3>What We're Looking For</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Three to six years of experience in software or product engineering, with a record of shipping production systems.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Full-stack development skills, including Python, TypeScript, React, Node.js, SQL, data modeling, and cloud infrastructure.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience building products or systems from the ground up, ideally in an early-stage or founding engineering role.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Familiarity with AI/ML, large language models, or document intelligence.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Confidence working directly with customers and translating operational workflows into software.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience outside professional services or consulting environments.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Forward-deployed engineering experience is a plus.</p></li></ul><h3>Compensation &amp; Benefits</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em">Salary range: £100,000 to £160,000 annually.
