You'll report to me, and I'll be your day-to-day partner, reviewer and someone to think</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">problems through with.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h2><strong>How we work</strong></h2><p style="min-height:1.5em">We're a small team, so your work is visible and your ideas get used. We value autonomy: you get clear ownership, not a checklist and someone looking over your shoulder.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">We care about the "how" as much as the "what." We write standard operating procedures (SOPs), build reusable workpapers, script repetitive NetSuite tasks and use AI tools daily to move faster. If you've ever rebuilt a reconciliation so the next month took half the time, you'll fit in. We're remote-first. Our finance team works mostly from home, split between Amsterdam and the US, so you'll collaborate across time zones. You and I will meet at our Amsterdam office for in-person days, such as working sessions, close kick-offs and planning. How often depends on what the work needs, and we keep it flexible. The office is open every day if you'd rather work from there. You'll need to live in the Netherlands, within reach of Amsterdam.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Our values:</strong></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• Be Respectful: we build an inclusive team that values different perspectives.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• Be Honest: we default to transparency, including when something in the numbers is wrong.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• Be Resourceful: we find a way forward even when the path isn't mapped out.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• Be the Solution: spotting a problem is the start; fixing it is the job.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h2><strong>What you'll own</strong></h2><p style="min-height:1.5em">You'll own these areas end to end, from monthly entries through audit support.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">•<strong> Month-end close: </strong>you'll be the main preparer of the monthly close, owning accruals, prepaids</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">and balance sheet reconciliations, and reviewing the income statement for accuracy, correct</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">periods and department mapping before it goes to final review.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• Cash: bank, card and payment-platform accounts across multiple currencies and entities,</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">including Stripe, Airwallex, ING and Corpay.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">•<strong> Intercompany:</strong> intercompany entries and loan agreements with interest between entities.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• <strong>Leases and fixed assets:</strong> lease accounting (right-of-use assets and liabilities), leasehold</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">improvements, fixed assets, intangibles and depreciation.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• <str
